Registration is open until Sunday 3 March.

Location: Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies (Oude Boteringestraat 38), Court Room

The CRASIS Annual Meeting is set up as an informal meeting place for students at PhD or Research Master level, postdocs and senior staff to promote the discussion and exchange of ideas beyond disciplinary boundaries. A keynote speaker is invited to give a CRASIS Keynote Lecture at the conference. The Keynote Speaker is Dr Louise Revell, Associate Professor in Roman Studies at the University of Southampton. Her primary interest is the use of architectural and epigraphic evidence related to identity issues in the western provinces of the Roman Empire. Her publications include Roman Imperialism and Local Identities (2009) and Ways of being Roman: Discourses of Identity in the Roman West (2015). She currently holds a Getty Fellowship as part of the Arts of Rome’s Provinces workshop.

The Annual Meeting on Friday 8 March is open to the public and the programme with abstracts can be found here.

If you wish to attend, please send an e-mail to Ruwan van der Iest via crasis.am@rug.nl, stating your name, affiliation, any dietary wishes, and whether you want to join us for the closing dinner. The costs are € 15 per person including lunch, coffee and tea (€ 10 for students). ARCHON will reimburse the registration fee, for those that hand in a reflection report. Let us know via email that you are going to attend. 

The additional € 25 for the buffet (drinks included) are for your own costs. The conference fee can be paid in cash (preferably exact!) upon arrival on the conference day.

NB: On Thursday 7 March the 8th CRASIS Master Class will take place. This event is not open to the public, but you may consult the programme here
